I had the privlege of visiting the airport two years ago and was impressed with the growth of it and the activity going on .I have known Dave Kramer for years and know if it wasn't for his love of aviation and dedication to keep the airport active It would not have existed this long. I can remember as a kid going to the airport where Tauke motors is and watching George Necker fly in and out. Thanks to Dave its stayed alive for years Hats off to you Dave and your side kick Fred aviation is on its way up in Dyersville.Alan Submitted By: Alan Link

What a GREAT Airport! After landing the first person I met was Dave Kramer and what a class act. I couldn't have been more welcomed. I absolutely love the grass strips and this one ranks #1 Grass strip in my book! The quality of the care given really shows. Thanks again Dave! I will be back with more friends next time. Flew our Warrior in SUnday for Easter. The airport is in beautiful condition. When we fly our 4 hour drive becomes a 90 minute flight. If Dyersville did not have a runway, We would not have been able to attend Easter dinner with our families. Thanks for having a great airport!!! Don and Amy Mensen Submitted By: Don and Amy Mensen

Haven't visited the airport in a long while but do visit the web-site. I'm writing in the hopes of seeing an article in one of your future monthly News Letters. In previous News Letters, DAA has featured a "Pilots Of the Past" segment naming such legendary figures and early local flyers as Ed Mescher and the late, great Maury (Maurie) Noonan. My note is a hope for a feature article on John E. "Jack" Keane- a former Marine pilot and Flight Instructor who also happened to be my father. Jack Keane was buzzing the skies around Dyersville and the state of Iowa long before many- giving rides, flying pointers and sharing stories and had no doubt, influenced others in a path towards aviation. He was also a Dyersville native with many friends including your Dave Kramer. Hey Dave- how about a story on "The Star of Poland?" Gratefully, Tom Keane Peoria, AZ. Submitted By: Tom Keane
